Mortgages 101: Quick Answers to Over 250 Critical Questions About Your Home Loan
I found this book informative and with answers to my questions that banks/mortgagors wouldn't/couldn't give me. It's written as easy to understand, not over my head. Yes I would recommend it.
As a first time home buyer, I just didn't understand all the complex matters involved in a house purchase and the financing involved. There are so many steps involved that aren't outlined and this book will take you through all of them. I feel its a good starting point.
Excellent crash course in mortgages. December 6, 2009 ff344ymfc (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) A must for every first time home buyer. After reading this book you will be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with your Realtor and lender about how you'll pay for your house. Even if you crack the cover with no previous knowledge about mortgages this book will help you to understand what options you have available to you. A home is too big of an investment to not understand what you are getting yourself into. Know your options. Read it twice just to be safe!
A must have! August 4, 2009 D. Sang (Seattle, WA) This is absolutely a great book to read. It is very easy to understand and very straight forward. I highly recommend it for anyone who are looking into buying a home.....right away or in the future. It will save you a lot of money and time. This is the first time that I have ever written a review for a book. Yes, I like it that much! In fact, I am buying three more so I can give my sisters each a copy this Christmas. If after reading my review and you find it to be too good to be true......do what I sometime do. Go to your local book store. Find this book.....scan through it and see if you feel the same way before buying a copy.
Mortgage 101 June 4, 2009 W. Sanders (Knightdale, NC USA) This is a good basic book for helping one to understand the mortage industry. It is an easy read and one I would recommend to others.
Definitely Helpful June 4, 2009 Chung Dynasty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is certainly a very helpful resource for most people who don't get to learn much about the mortgage market and industries. I certainly had to buy a home during the turmoil and it helped me shed some light on mortgage industries, how brokerage industries work and so forth. Also it includes lots of things that you should ask or consider when you are getting a mortgage.
